"Everyone is just about the same. I am looking for a school with a good football and academic program."

On Rutgers

"Rutgers is one of the schools that I am considering. They are building. Alfred Peterson and Cory Barnes both went to high school with me. I am friends with both of them. They have told me to come there. I think I will set up an official with Rutgers as one of my visits."

First games this year

"I was only able to play 3 games so far. I  have been out the last four with an injuries. I had 8 sacks in those first three games, I am not sure about my tackle statistics. I have to sit out two more games and get back for the playoffs. Our team is 6-2."

Eric had 80 tackles and 17 sacks as a junior. He is especially noted for his combination of quickness and very and strength. Eric comes from a family of great athletes. His  father, Bennie Moncur Jr., was once a top recruit himself -- in basketball. He played basketball at Carol City and at Jackson HS in the early 1980s. In 1984, Moncur, a 6-9 center, earned first-team All-Dade honors and led the Generals to the state Final Four. He went on to play two seasons at the University of Houston. Eric's mother, Edwina, also played varsity basketball at Carol City and Central High in the early 1980s. Eric himself plays baseball and basketball in addtion to football. Eric won't set up his official visits till after the season and he is wide open as far as his visits are concerned.
