Nate Robinson (DT,6'5"-320lbs) from Irvington H.S in Irvington, New Jersey has been ranked by numerous recruiting services as one of the three best defensive tackles in the country. At 6'5"-320lbs, Robinson is blessed with outstanding speed and quickness for a man of his size. Although he has been injured for most of his senior year, it has not stopped colleges from pursuing him. Currently, he has over 35 scholarship offers and counting. During my phone conversation with him, we were interrupted twice by college recruiting calls.
Robinson has setup his five official visits. They are as follows:
Strangely, he said that he is thinking about changing his Michigan State visit to Rutgers. He said that "I really liked those guys". He plans on making a decision over the next two weeks on whether to change the visit or not. However, he still list Michigan State as his second favorite school.
Robinson lists Miami as his leader because of the fact that they have placed so many players in the NFL. Playing time is an important factor to him. Therefore, the number of defensive linemen that they rotate during the game is a real plus. Add in the fact that they are the National Champions and looking to repeat, they looked to be far ahead of the competition for his services.
Robinson said that he will be attending the Rutgers vs. Miami game on Saturday, November 2nd.
