Holmes Continues to add the offers

OL Isaac Holmes has received four more offers from Florida, USC, Oklahoma and Virginia. Maryland and Rutgers have been recruiting him the hardest and he talked about his opinions on the Knights. Come see what he had to say along with when he plans on making his final choice and what will factor into that.

Offensive lineman Isaac Holmes has received four new offers from Florida, USC, Oklahoma and Virginia bringing his count to nine thus far.

Miami, East Carolina, Rutgers, Maryland and Notre Dame were the first three to send offers his way.

"They're all good schools," Holmes said. "It's just a lot more on my top."

Rutgers and Maryland have been showing the Hoboken High School junior the most interest and he said it's been ‘neck and neck' between which one has shown the most.

He's been on visits with each of the two programs and said he liked what each school had to offer.

The Scarlet Knights were one of the first schools to offer Holmes a scholarship and he's impressed with the program.

"They are one of my first and that [weighs] pretty heavily," he said. "They're an upcoming school and they're close to home."

The Hoboken, N.J. resident's family is trying to move and they're waiting for him to make his decision before they find a destination. How they will fit in to an area will play a major role in his final decision along with the education he will receive at a school and it's campus life.

"My family would have to feel comfortable [in the area]," Holmes said. "The school has to have great academics. Also, the environment."

Holmes said how early he would play could factor into his decision but he might benefit from a year of watching from the sidelines.

"With playing time I would have to say yes," he said. "It would help to red shirt, but I would like to go out there as a true freshman."

Maryland's Junior Day was supposed to be attended by Holmes, but he was unable to make it.

He plans on making it down to Penn State's Junior Day.

Final decision time will come towards the middle or the end of his senior year, Holmes said.
