Tyler Stockton picks up 4 more during break

Tyler Stockton is one of the top overall prospects in the Garden State. Most assuredly he will crack Scout.com's Top 300 by the time it is re-issued later this spring. Meanwhile, Stockton has continued to reel in the scholarship offers. Stockton, by way of Princeton's The Hun School currently stands at 13 offers, with the latest being from ...

"Yes, Rutgers has offered me," stated Tyler Stockton, the powerful interior defensive line prospect from The Hun School in Princeton, NJ.

"Coach Susan e-mailed me and told me the offer was coming and my coach also told me. I'm actually going to give Coach Susan a call tomorrow [Friday]," stated Stockton.

"I was hoping for it," said Stockton in reference to the Scarlet Knights offer. "It's the state school, it is close to home, my family and friends have a chance to come and see me play."

Stockton has yet to begin narrowing down his list of schools to a more fine-tuned 7 or 8, and his offer sheet is likely to continue expanding by the time he does. "I really haven't started to narrow things down yet. I'm probably going to start to do that at the beginning of the summer."

Stockton currently stands at 13 scholarship offers, with the latest being extended from Rutgers, Northwestern, Michigan State, and Notre Dame.

Stockton states that he hasn't yet decided whether he'll be attending any of the RU practices or the Spring Game later in April. He may - he simply needs to sit down and decide where among the many invites he's been extended, he'll be able to go.

Stockton registered 73 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, three batted passes and a blocked kick as a junior while being named the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Defensive Player of the Year.
