Previous winners of the award include David Pollack (Georgia - 2004), DeMeco Ryans (Alabama - 2005), Daymeion Hughes (Cal - 2006), and Glenn Dorsey (LSU - 2007). Each school went on to receive $25,000 for their general scholarship funds.
