The Scarlet Knights are still in the hunt for Adams' services because he said they bring a lot to the table.
"They are in the even category," he said on where the Rutgers stand with him. "I like the program, they are on the rise. They've always had a good running game, they just had Ray Rice get drafted on Saturday. The coaching staff is nice, the area is pretty cool and Rutgers has good academics."
Adams plans on going up to Piscataway for an unofficial visit in the next two weeks.
Notre Dame and Auburn are the two latest schools to offer the Norcoss High School runner a scholarship. Adams said the Irish offered around three weeks ago and he received the written offer last week.
"I got a chance to talk to Head Coach [Charlie] Weiss and I have his personal number," he said. "I went to the spring game and had a chance to talk with the coaching staff. It was pretty cool up there."
Auburn is the most recent offer Adams' has received and he has somewhat of a connection with the program. Will Muschamp, who is currently Texas' defensive coordinator, was on staff with the Tigers last year and invited Adams to their Senior Camp as a junior. The reason he was invited was because Muschamp used to coach Adams at Norcross High School.
Head Coach Tommy Tubberville's program is the first to offer Adams and he said that makes them "stand out a bit."
The final decision for Adams will come before his senior season and he also plans on visiting Arkansas in late May.
