Top 2 for Malcolm Bush

Malcolm Bush stands at an impressive 6-foot-5 inches and 235-pounds. By way of Hackensack HS [Hackensack, NJ], interest in the physically imposing Bush has picked up and the Garden State standout is now holding four written BCS-school offers, in addition to strong interest from a number of national programs.

Malcolm Bush's recruitment took a while to get going, but as we've seen with so many Garden State prospects this year, once the initial domino falls, several follow. Bush's recruitment seems to be following the same path. After an early offer from Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Connecticut followed, and most recently, Rutgers joined the mix.

While Bush is receiving significant interest from most of the Big East Conference, several additional schools, including programs from the ACC, Big 10, and SEC are in pursuit of Bush's services.

"Florida is coming on strong along with Tennessee, the University of North Carolina, Iowa, NC State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan State, and that's about it," stated Bush.

In addition to his four written offers, Bush has also received positive news from Gator country, Rocky Top, and one of the premiere ACC programs, in Clemson. The previously mentioned trio have all indicated that an offer would be on the way (i.e., a verbal offer).

Given the recent surge in his services, SOR asked Bush whether he had yet reached the point in his recruitment where he would be able to disclose some of his favorites.

"Rutgers is very high on my list. They're in the top two along with the University of Florida," stated Bush.

Of the pair of schools at the top of his list, Rutgers has recently extended a scholarship offer, and the significance of that moment carries weight with the rising senior.

"This is a big offer for me, one that I have been waiting on for quite a while now," said Bush.

"I would love to contribute to RU's quest of bringing a National Championship to the state of New Jersey. When Coach Schiano speaks, not only do I listen, but I believe in what he tells me. That's definitely a good thing to have in a Head Coach, someone you believe in what they say. And Coach says he's going to bring a National Championship to RU, so I believe him."

"I would love to be a major part of that history," concluded Bush.
