Hush Gets His First Offer & looking for more

It seems like every year Piscataway H.S produces a bowl championship sub-division (Division 1A) prospect. This year, one of those prospects is defensive end Aaron Hush, who has a healthy list of schools interested. However, one of those schools has now provided a written scholarship offer.

As a junior, Aaron Hush played opposite Iowa signee J.D. Griggs and registered 65 tackles and 7 sacks enroute to helping the Chiefs to play in the Group IV Central Jersey Championship game. This 6'4"- 220lbs prospect covers forty yard in 4.69, bench presses 295 and squats 405.. His abilities have drawn heavy interest from Iowa, Cincinnati, Central Florida, Michigan State, North Carolina State Temple, North Carolina and Rutgers.

On Thursday, he received his first written scholarship offer from Temple. As he stated, "when I went down to Temple for their junior day, they said that they were very interested in me and that they would be glad to give me an offer." The written offer quickly followed in the mail. Hush likes the growing MAC program particularly the coaching staff and education. As he stated, "they (coaches) are so down to earth and their educational program is very good and setup that you can graduate in 3 years". Similar to many prospects, he is extremely happy to obtain his first offer. He has stated "it feels so good, really it does. I told every body in my family and everyone is happy for me".

Although he has obtained his first offer, he is planning on being very busy during the month of June. He will be attending camps at Temple on the 28th, North Carolina on the 20th then Rutgers on June 22nd. Obviously, Temple has offered but he will look to garner offers from the above schools before making a final decision before the start of his football season.

SOR will continue to follow Hush's recruitment along with those of all of the top prospects in the State of Rutgers.
