Video Interview : Paul Carrezola

Rutgers' TE-class, recruiting-wise, got started in fine fashion when Neshaminy HS product Paul Carrezola selected Rutgers over numerous other Big East and ACC schools. In addition to Tom Savage, Carrezola also made the trek to Piscataway, NJ., on Flag Day, to check out the competition at the Big Time Academy.

Paul Carrezola, the 6-foot-3, 252-pound tight end by way of Neshaminy High School in Langhorne, Pa., took the short trip up to Picataway, NJ, to, in part, provide encouragement for one his teammates participating in the Big Man Academy: Jay Colbert. In addition, Carrezola had he opportunity to meet fellow commitments Tom Savage, and some of the OL/DL RU pledges that were participating in the day's event (e.g., Brazinski and Larrow).

SOR had the opportunity to talk with Carrezola about his pledge to Rutgers, and in particular, what put Rutgers over the top.

"What put it [i.e., Rutgers] over the top was the coaching staff here. I came on a visit here, probably about three days before I committed. It was really family-oriented, and I liked that about it," stated Carrezola.

"The coaching staff is building a program and the sky is the limit right now."
