Video Interview: Drew Gibson Ramapo HC

The 2008 version of the Schiano shootout, a highly comptetitive 7-on-7 event that witnessed 86 teams from all along the northeast seaboard compete, was won by Schiano's alma mater, Ramapo HS. Ramapo defeated Xaverian HS [Brooklyn, NY] in the finals and SOR caught up with the HC of the winning team following the conclusion of the event.

The 2008 version of the Greg Schiano Shootout, one of the most popular 7-on-7 events in the entire east, witnessed a record 86 schools compete for the coveted Championship crown. The final four squads featured a trio of Garden State schools in Ramapo HS, Camden Catholic, and Plainfield HS, along with a squad from the Empire State: Xaverian HS. All Final 4 games were held inside Rutgers Stadium, including the final game, which featured Ramapo HS, led by QB Andrew Weiss, and QB Najee Tyler of Xaverian HS.

Ramapo HS held on for the victory, securing their first ever Schiano Shootout Championship and SOR caught up with the Head Coach of the winning team, Coach Drew Gibbs to discuss their road to the chapionship.
