Holmes hopes to have decision before fall

Isaac Holmes, a top DT/OL prospect from Hoboken, NJ has been coveted by some of the top programs in the country. Standing at 6'3 290, with a great burst, he has a special skill set that has led to double digit offers. Holmes shares with SOR some of his thoughts on the recruitment process.

"My recruitment has gone real well. I have been offered by some great schools. I was just at Maryland and that was like my fifth or sixth time up there. I have a cousin that goes there. They really like me and I like them. It was a great trip".

There were some rumors circulating that Isaac Holmes would be visiting Rutgers this week. However, that was not the case. "I did not go to Rutgers this week. I'll likely visit Rutgers one more time this summer. They are only about 30 minutes away and are my home school. They have done a tremendous job and I have a great relationship with the coaches over there as well".

Holmes states that he will also definitely visit Pitt this summer, as they have done a great job in his recruitment and has a good deal on interest in the Panther program. Other schools that he looking to trip to unofficially include Oklahoma, Penn State, Florida and Miami.

In addition, Holmes says that he would like to play with teammate Bernardo Nunez at the next level, if the right fit comes along. "We talk about it and are good friends. If we find the right place for each of us, then that would be great. I have played alongside him for some time and it would be nice to have him as a teammate".

Holmes states that he looks to begin wrapping things up by the end of the summer and would like a final decision before September. He states the schools recruiting him the hardest at this time are Maryland, Pitt, and Rutgers.
