Video Interview: Jamal Wilson

It may seem like years ago but in actuality it was only this past April the 15th that Jamal Wilson [South Shore HS, Brooklyn, NY] became just the second pledge to the current Rutgers Football class. Wilson's commitment preceded that of Tom Savage by just three days, and quite rapidly, the rest of the Rutgers Football class would begin to take shape.

Jamal Wilson Profile

All football games, at all levels, are won and lost in the trenches. The Scarlet Knights' recent success is owing, in large part, to their outstanding line play, both offensively and defensively. This season's Rutgers Football class has a pair of outstanding offensive linemen already committed, with both possessing a bright future. RU's second pledge of the current class, Jamal Wilson, by way of South Shore HS [Brooklyn, NY], is a massive lineman with impressive agility that projects at the tackle spot, but can also play on the interior. [SOR] recently trekked up to South Shore HS and caught up with the future Scarlet Knight to discuss the conclusion of his recruitment, his thoughts on the Rutgers staff, his summer plans, and more. "Here we have something called the Big Apple. I'm coming here from 5:30 to 8:00 [p.m.] basically running, doing footwork drills, and stuff like that," stated Wilson in reference to some of the off-season conditioning drills he's currently focusing on.
