Video Interview: Mohamed Sanu

Many Rutgers fans might have forgotten that Mohamed Sanu was the first recruit who committed to possibly the best recruiting class in Rutgers history. SOR had the opportunity to talk to this multi-talented athlete about his commitment, his recruiting class and where he envisions himself playing at Rutgers.

In late January, Mohamed Sanu became the initial commitment to the Rutgers football class of 2009. It was only the start of the flood of early commitments for the Scarlet Knights.

The class now stands at 20 with only a few more scholarships to give. But it all started with Sanu, who was a little known prospect from South Brunswick High School at the time. Recruiting experts and other colleges quickly found out that he is a very talented player who is among the best in the northeast.

Since he will be graduating in December, Sanu played in the New York-New Jersey All-Star game where he provided a glimpse of his abilities. He had a 50-plus yard touchdown pass to future teammate Brandon Jones along with a number of electrifying runs.

SOR caught up with the multi-faceted Garden State athlete a short time ago. For the complete video interview, StateofRutgers.com subscribers are invited to click on the below link.
