Two On Top As More Schools Enter The Picture

Penn State and Rutgers have been the most talked about programs when it comes to where Glenn Carson will go, but the four star linebacker said there's other colleges he's considering.

"There are a lot of other options for me as well," Carson said when asked if it was still between the Scarlet Knights and Nittany Lions.

"Penn State and Rutgers are kind of like on my top, but there are still some other schools I'm definitely looking at. Notre Dame is one of them; Stanford is probably, Boston College and Virginia."

Right now, Carson claims no favorites. He said he in an earlier interview that he will attend the Penn State-Oregon St. game and he also plans on attending Rutgers home opener against No. 25 Fresno St. He might be going to South Bend to see the Irish take on Michigan.

With official visits, Carson will take one to Penn State and the other possible trips will be to Rutgers, Notre Dame, Stanford, Virginia or Boston College.

"I'm definitely going to take one to Penn State," he said, "maybe to Notre Dame, probably to Rutgers, and maybe Stanford, Virginia or BC."

The Rutgers recruits have been making an effort to convince Carson to come to Piscataway.

"A lot," Carson said on how many RU recruits have reached out to him.

"It started with [Tom] Savage, and I've received some texts from others, including Gerald Hodges."

Since he's a wrestler, Carson has made friends with former wrestlers on the team such as Kevin Malast, Jack Corcoran and Alex Silvestro. He's talked to Malast on a few occasions, but not as much about recruiting, Carson said.

He isn't sure when he will commit, but Carson wants to do it as soon as possible.

"I would like to as soon as I can," he said. "I'll commit when I find the place that's right.
