One Official Visit Done & Planning One To RU

Three star player Isaac Holmes is down to a top six that consists of Rutgers, Maryland, Florida, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma and Penn State.

Rutgers is in Holmes top six, and he's planning on taking one of his four remaining official visits to New Jersey. He said he's still trying to figure out who the four schools will be, but they should be one of the places he visits.

"Pretty strong," Holmes said when asked how he feels about the school. "They're my home school and I'm going to schedule to make it out there real soon."

One thing that could stop the Knights from picking up the DT from Hoboken, N.J., is they haven't stayed in contact with him. Holmes said it's been a while since he's heard from the team and he's hoping things turn around.

"I was actually worried and it did bother me because they're my home school. Hopefully I can get back on track with them and we can develop that relationship."

Maryland, Florida and Pittsburgh are the schools recruiting him the hardest he said. The biggest things he's looking for are academics — he wants to major in criminology, a place with a strong program, plenty of playing time as a true freshman, and a coaching staff that makes him comfortable.

Once scheduled to commit before the fall, Holmes said he's not sure when he will decide. The decision will most likely come after he takes all his visits.

"I can't set a specific time," he said.
