We need Everyone's assistance
Most, if not all, of the Rutgers graduates and students would not like to see the name of our institution changed. We can let our voice be heard.
Please contact your state legislator and let her or she know on no uncertain terms that you disagree with this action and it will effect your vote come election time. Below you will find a link on how to find out your legislator contact information. Please let them know today.
State Legislator by District
Just a couple of days on the job and Richard L. McCormick is already faced with several issues for which he must prepare himself.
For the past few months, Gov. James E. McGreevey has been lobbying Rutgers, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and New Jersey Institute of Technology to merge and form one state university. In theory, his plan should bring excellence to higher education in New Jersey. However, McCormick and others are concerned about the money for this massive project.

How in the world could coaching Albert Young be a mixed blessing?
Consider Moorestown High School football coach Russ Horton's point of view.
"It's really been great to be a part of history," Horton said. "The only thing is, as a first-year coach, I only got to have him for one year. I can't see another athlete of his caliber coming into this program for a long time."

Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer said he thought Miami was the best team in the country last year. Now, he thinks they're even better.
"Maybe the greatest college team of all time," Beamer said.
That's heady stuff, but then again, top-ranked Miami (11-0) has won 33 straight games and is an 18-point favorite over the 18th-ranked Hokies (9-3) for Saturday's regular-season finale in the Orange Bowl.

Iowa became the fourth team assured a spot in one of the four Bowl Championship Series games, even though there was no official announcement from the BCS.
The Hawkeyes (11-1) will be one of the two at-large teams, the Big Ten Conference said in a news release. Three teams -- Miami, Ohio State and Florida State have already clinched half of the six automatic BCS berths as conference champions.
