Limited Action for Alleyne
Yesterday Rice High School earned a hard fought 64-63 victory over St. Mary's of Long Island,last year's defending New York Class B State Champ in the third game of the Diane Brennan Invitational at Fordham University. Shagari Alleyne saw limited action but scored 10 points on 5 for 6 shooting. He garnered 13 rebounds and had but one block. His junior guard, Russell Robinson, scored 13 points for Rice. This was Rice's first game this season. There was no explanation given by Head Coach Mo Hicks why Alleyne spent so much time on the pines.
