Top NJ DB on RU Visit

Logan Ryan, the top rated CB in the state of NJ and Rutgers verbal commitment took his official visit to Rutgers this past weekend. He shares some highlights of what he considered an incredible weekend.

Logan Ryan is one of the top two way players in NJ this year. He projects as a CB at the next level and thinks this recruiting class can really give the Scarlet Knights an edge on the football field in the near future.

"We had a lot of commitments visit this weekend and some people who have strong interest in Rutgers come by. I think the thing that made this weekend so special is that we are a tight group of guys. A lot of us have developed friendships over time. We feel like family and have a great class. If we can land a few more top players, we should make serious noise in the future"

The visit further solidified his thoughts on Rutgers. "I was not considering any other schools, but this weekend just made me know so much more that this is the right fit for me. Everything was just great. I got up there for the game on Thursday and the offense and defense were clicking on all cylinders. The game set the weekend off on the right foot. That was a lot of fun to watch."

"Then we got to spend time with the coaches and players. I know most schools preach a family atmosphere, but it is certainly the truth at Rutgers. You feel the bond amongst everyone here. The coaches were very positive and only discussed positive things. We got to see how life was for players off the field".

Logan was hosted by Brandon Jones. "We played Winslow in High School. Brandon was a great player there and will do well at Rutgers. He showed me a good time".

Logan got to spend time with prospects like Gerald Hodges. "I think the visit moved RU up for him. I made sure he had a blast. Savage and I were on him. But it is his decision and he has to do what is best for him. But we are close. If he choose Rutgers, I am sure he will be my roommate".
