Harrison gives visit glowing marks.

Rutgers WR Commit Mark Harrison from Bunnell HS in Stratford, CT took his official visit over the weekend. The 6'4 220 pound prospect projects as a big threat in the future with his combination of size, speed and leaping ability. He had great things to say about the trip and his future school.

Mark Harrison had a huge senior year at WR, earning first team All-State honors. On the season, he had 61 catches for 1673 yards and 17 Tds in 11 games. "I had a real good season. My QB was able to get me the ball and I just made as many plays as I could".

Harrison, who committed to Rutgers early, was hosted by former CT High School star and Rutgers freshman WR Marcus Cooper. "He told me that they push you to succeed here. He loves it at Rutgers. He said you just have to maintain your focus and keep plugging away, and that good things will happen here".

Harrison stated that the trip was outstanding. "We got to speak with all the academic people and go on several campus tours. We went out to eat. Then last night we went to the ESPN Zone in the city and that was crazy. That was a lot of fun. When we got home we went out for a little bit with the players and went around campus. I got to go out with DC Jefferson, Marcus Cooper and (RB recruit) D'Antwan Williams".

Harrison thinks the visit may have convinced Williams on the Scarlet Knights. "He told me last night he was committing. I know he loved his trip".

Harrison was also able to spend some time with the coaching staff. "They made me feel right at home. I feel comfortable with Coach (Rippon) Rip and Coach Schiano. It is always good to spend time with them and at Rutgers. It feels like home to me. I can't wait to get started down there".
