Rutgers adds Lowery to Class

Rutgers continues to assemble the best class in the school's history as they have added the commitment of 3-Star DT Antwan Lowery. Rutgers adds a run stuffer to their pressure defense.

The choice of Rutgers was obvious to Antwan Lowery after his mother and him made up a list of his top schools. At the end of the exercise, Rutgers was on top of alist that contained Florida and Florida State. "I like the family atmosphere and the way things are ran. The whole thing is great. The fans and the people are great."

There have been numerous rumors regarding Lowery playing OG. This was found to the false. "I play strictly DT. It was only a rumor about me playing offensive line". Lowery is looking forward to going to New Jersey and start his college career. "My plans are to get to school early in the summer, getting into the playbook and weight room and get on the field as soon as possible."

Although Lowery is now committed, he fully intends on taking his visits. "I will be taking my visits to Florida (Jan 9th) and Florida State.(Jan 13th)." Rutgers fans have nothing to fear. "My mind is made up and I will be sticking with Rutgers. I will be taking these visits because I had them setup before I commited"

It might not have been the deciding factor to Lowery, but a real plus to coming to Rutgers was the fact that he will have an opportunity to play with his brother for two years. "I will be looking forward to it. It will be the first time we had a chance to play with each other.Last night, we sat down with Coach Schiano and discussed the possibility of having us at the same school. My mother was pretty happy with the decision."

Rutgers fans can expect to catch a glimpse of the futrure when Lowery plays in the UnderArmour All-American game.

Lowery has a clear mission for Rutgers fans. "I am looking forward to coming to New Jersey and making my presence known on the football field."
