Top NJ LB takes in Practice

Ka'Lial Glaud, the 6'2 217 lb OLB prospect from Winslow Township, NJ, is now focusing on his recruitment since his season is over. He has taken three official visits thus far and was a visitor at Rutgers this weekend to take in one of the team's bowl practice.

Ka'Lial Glaud was a star on this year's ball club. He was the starting QB and played the OLB position on defense. He is mostly being recruited as an OLB, but is open to playing on the inside. He also would not ind consideration on the offensive side of the ball. "We struggled a bit as a team this year, but individually I thought I had a good year. On defense, I had 90 something tackles and 64 solo tackles. I enjoy offense. I like having the ball in my hands. But I really like hitting people on defense".

He has taken official visits to Iowa, West Virginia and Maryland thus far.

"Iowa was a great trip. When I was out there, people on the street knew how I was. They have great fans out there. I went for the Iowa-Purdue game. Head Coach Ferentz and Coach Wilson, who is from South Jersey, were here for in an home visit recently". "West Virginia was fun. I was there for the West Virginia-USF game. I really like the coaches. The whole defensive coaching staff, Coach Castell the Defensive Coordinator, and Head Coach Stewart were here on Thursday. My family really enjoyed them and were impressed with West Virginia".

"Maryland was also a good trip. Coach Donovan is my recruiter and he was here on Monday. When I went on my trip, I got to hang out with Antwine Perez. He is from South Jersey and loves the area and the school. We had a real good time".

Ka'Lial is scheduled to trip to North Carolina on January 9th.

On his visit to Rutgers this weekend, Glaud said he was impressed with Rutgers practice. "Coach Emanuel is recruiting me. He is a very good coach. I also spoke to Coach Schiano and he tried to understand my interest in them. He asked me what their chances were. I told them I was interested".

Ka'Lial states that he is not leaning in any direction. " I am completely open. I want to take these visits and then sit down and evaluate all the schools. I want to make sure I make the best decision".

Ka'Lail has offers from the five schools he will trip to and well over 20 written offers.
