Glaud inks with Rutgers

LB Ka'Lail Glaud from Winslow Township HS in Southern NJ becomes the next NJ star from this part of the state to send a player to Rutgers. Ka'Lail briefly spoke to SOR regarding todays commitment.

Ka'Lial Glaud, one of the top LB recruits in the state of NJ signed with Rutgers this morning. Glaud had it down to Rutgers and West Virginia this morning before coming to his selection. Other schools under consideration included Iowa and Maryland.

"I had both the Rutgers and West Virginia hats on the table, and I had honestly not made a decision where I was going between those two. And a few minutes before it was time to make my decision, I felt that Rutgers was the best place for me. I made my decision right then and there this morning".

Glaud discussed his decision with head coach Greg Schiano and Assistant Coach Gary Emanuel this morning. "They were both really excited to have me come on board. It was good talking to them".

Glaud fulfills a position of need for Rutgers. His size and speed will allow him to add versatility to the LB unit. "They are going to have me playing at OLB this year and probably move me to MLB next year. I think I can play all the positions".

When asked about his late official visit, he stated "I always felt good about Rutgers. The visit just set everything straight. I felt good about the coaches and the players".

Glaud sounds very relaxed and happy this morning. "I just feel so good and relieved right now. The TV stations will be around later today. I am going to call my boy Brandon Jones now and talk to him about it. Then I am just going to just head to class and try to have a normal high school day".
