Bruising RB Attracting Major Attention

Notre Dame H.S football isn't necessarily known for having a prolific rushing attack. They are more known for airing it out until now. One reason that Scout.com is hearing in regards to the transformation is the emergence of Jr. bruiser back Ransford Quarrie.

Although Quarrie has yet to officially receive an offer, he is receiving some serious attention and should end up with a few offers within a short timeframe.

Ransford Quarrie, a 6-1 220 pound running back from Lawrenceville, NJ broke out with 11 touchdowns in 2008 and helped his team to a playoff birth and 8-1 record. The 2nd Team All- Colonial Valley selection is not satisfied with the results of this past season and looks forward to an even more productive season next year. "I want to reach 1,000 yards which would be an accomplishment since we are predominately a passing team", Quarrie explained. He also stated "we are looking to come together and make it to the state championship".

" I have been hearing from Boston College, Rutgers, Alabama, Connecticut, NC State, UCLA and Virginia" Quarrie said. Being that it is still early in his recruitment, he has no clear leader. Quarrie has already attended Rutgers Jr. Day and plans to camp at Boston College, NC State and Penn State. His early favorites are UCLA, Virgina and Rutgers.

Quarrie plans to spend the offseason lifting 3 times per week and enduring extensive cardio on a daily basis to prepare for the rigors of another run at the state championship… and run indeed he will.
