An Immovable Object

At 6'1 315 pounds, junior Wayne Carter from Timber Creek H.S (NJ) is an offensive lineman's worst nightmare. His immense strength and low center of gravity make him an ideal run stuffer and overall offensive disruptor. True nose tackles are hard to find although I would think it is safe to say that we have found one.

The 2nd Team All- Burlington Olympic selection is a load. "My goal is to be the most dominant player in the state. I stay in the weight room. I bench 385 pounds and squat 495 pounds both for reps.", said Wayne. I truly feel sorry for any quarterbacks or running backs in his conference. This young man is truly an intense athlete.

"I am explosive, like to move around, and put pressure on the quarterback as well", Wayne stated. It is definitely considered a bonus to be able to get a consistent pass rush out of a nose tackle. Carter plans to display that skill set at the upcoming BigTime Showcase at Rutgers later this upcoming spring.

Carter is receiving attention from Rutgers, Boston College, Connecticut, Alabama and Temple. He currently has no offers but has no problem earning them. "I will be at the Showcase and the Nike Camp at Penn State to show everybody what I can do", he said.

Boston College is currently the frontrunner for his services. "I grew up watching BC on TV with my uncle and dad. We have always been fans of the program", said Carter.

As for Rutgers, "I like the head coach and the way the team is run. I plan to stop by spring practice to see how they do things". Being that academics, playing time, and location are his main factors in selecting a school, Rutgers seems to definitely have a shot at the next possible Ramel Meekins. Stay tuned…
