Bennett Jackson: Mr. Versatility

Bennett Jackson is an ultra-talented football player from Raritan H.S. (NJ). The 6'1" 165 lb. speedster has a knack for being able to make something out of nothing and get to the endzone when it seems impossible. This rare ability is in high demand on the next level. Being that the young playmaker just recently released his highlight tape, his recruitment has begun to heat up.

Local standout Bennett Jackson recently received his first offer from Iowa University.

One word to describe Bennett Jackson would be: crafty. And by all indications, he agrees.

"I see the field well, I am real shifty and make good cuts. Once the hole appears, that's it. I make big plays", stated Jackson.

Jackson displayed his big time ability by returning 2 punts and 1 kickoff for touchdowns in 2008. Each of those 3 TD returns averaged over 65 yards apiece.

Jackson was also devastating as a receiver and running back.

"I am skilled at beating people over the top and even running the ball. My favorite route is the deep post and I have the speed to get to the outside", Jackson continued.

In 2008, Bennett also accounted for 36 receptions, over 500 receiving yards, 35 carries for 257 yards on the ground and an additional 7 touchdowns (10 overall). His efforts earned him 1st Team All-Shore as well as 1st Team All- Monmouth County.

Rutgers, Iowa, Pittsburgh, and Boston College are currently showing Jackson, who will be entering his senior year in high school this upcoming fall, the most attention. Although he possesses an Iowa offer, his current leader is Pittsburgh which he feels fits his style of play and has a great football reputation.

As for Rutgers, Bennett claims, "They are a good school. I don't know much about them as of right now. I will take a look at them though".

Jackson will have a great opportunity to once again showcase his skills in the wide open offense of Raritan H.S. this upcoming season.

Check his highlights. He might be the best kept secret in New Jersey.
