Joe Claiborne: An Unknown Entity

Jr. Joe Claiborne out of George Washington H.S. (PA) is a rather unknown entity at wide receiver. The 6'4 186 lb. competitor is ready to break out and show the country his true skills. He will have a great opportunity being that he is a teammate of soon-to-be national recruit, Sharrif Floyd. Therefore, a good amount of attention should be given to the talented Philadelphia team.

In 2008, Joe Claiborne transferred from University City High (PA) and was therefore lost in the shuffle. As a sophomore, he played varsity and caught 15 passes for 336 yards and 6TDs. Joe was definitely on pace to have a productive career until unfortunately having to switch schools. This past season, while going through a transition period, Joe caught 13 balls for 420 yards and 4 TDs on a 10-2 team with many additional skill options.

This year Joe is ready to display his primetime capabilities. "Next year I am going to show what I can do. I play with emotion. I am best at catching the ball, making quick moves, running routes and blocking downfield. My favorite route is the post corner. I make corners bite on it and get open", Said Claiborne.

Although still becoming accustomed to his new team, Joe was still named All-City and Honorable Mention All-Public. He is currently receiving very little interest and has no offers.

Claiborne plans to attend the Nike 7-on-7 event as well as many other combines and camps with his buddy Sharrif in hopes of earning a spot on the Division 1A radar. He hopes to attend a college with a great environment, one that provides a terrific future as well as gets the ball to its receivers. This upcoming season, Joe intends to be so aggressive that he will be impossible to overlook. SOR will keep you posted on his progression.
