Easley Has Options

Jr. Dominique Easley of Curtis H.S. is making a bid to become the number 1 player from New York in the class of 2010. He currently holds 7 written offers with many additional ones soon to follow. Unfortunately for fans that support teams within the eastern region, his horizons will not be limited to our personal favorites.

The 6'3 265 lb. disruptor fits the mold of the hybrid hand in the ground or standup defensive end / outside linebacker that defensive coordinators love to scheme with on the next level. His ability reminds me of, dare I say it, Lavar Arrington.

The best word to describe Dominique Easley after watching his film is "explosive". The kid makes "big" plays. He seems to have the distinct ability to perfectly time the snap count and disrupt in the backfield. He also has a knack make plays on the football whether it be catching interceptions or picking up loose balls and taking them to the house.

"Last year I produced 51 tackles, 10 sacks, an interception, and 2 fumble recoveries. One of the fumble recoveries and the interception went back for touchdowns. I ended up leading the PSAL in sacks and quarterback pressures", said Easley. Dominique also runs a 4.7 forty and reports a 295 lb. bench press.

When asked to describe his playing style, he mentioned, "I have great reaction time, am quick off the ball and know how to use my hands well. I just started playing football my freshman year of high school. These attributes just came natural to me".

Easley has been offered by Rutgers, Syracuse, Oregon, Connecticut, Maryland, Duke and Boston College. Florida and Notre Dame, amongst many other suitors, are hot on his trail and should be soliciting offers in the coming months. At this point in time, he claims that all teams are equal and no one particularly stands out. Environment, overall comfort level and quality of education are the 3 main factors in regards to his commitment to an institution.

As for Rutgers, he mentioned, "I like Rutgers. They are a good school. My interest level is medium right now as it is for every other school recruiting me. I plan to attend a spring practice and their spring game".

The 1st Team All- City selection also plans to camp at Rutgers as well as take a trip out to USC to see what they have to offer. He hopes to make a collegiate selection soon after his senior high school football season.

Dominique's goals for the upcoming football season are to lead his team to a championship, lead the PSAL in sacks again and work as hard as possible to be better than ever next season. 2009 will be his first instance helping out at TE and he is excited about the opportunity. Easley Stated, "I will also participate in basketball as well as track and field where my personal bests are a 7.3 in the 55 and I throw the shot-put 45 meters". SOR will stay close to the situation and keep you posted.
