Wynn Can Cover Some Ground

Jr. Jawaun Wynn is a 6'4 185 pound safety\wide receiver with good range and athleticism. Due to the abundance of athletes on the Piscataway squad, Wynn played sparingly but produced when the opportunities presented themselves. Now he is on a mission to prove his worth by attending every camp possible and showing out at each of them.

" I have already attended the badger Sports 7-on-7 and plan on attending two Nike camps, Syracuse Jr. day as well as camp at Rutgers and many others", said Jawaun Wynn. SOR actually attended the 7-on 7 camp that he mentioned and witnessed his colossal talent first hand. Jawaun has extremely long arms and legs to be 6'4 and can cover a ton of ground in a short amount of time.

Although he would like to play receiver on the next level, many believe he has exactly what it takes to become a standout free safety. Wynn account for 20 solos this past season. He stated, "On defense, I like to scan the field, keep an eye on the quarterback, and try to be at the right place at the right time".

Offensively, Jawaun accounted for 10 receptions, 121 yards and a touchdown. "I use my height, range and speed to catch the ball at its highest point", he said. Jawaun plans to immensely improve upon his production next season. He stated, "My personal goals for next year are 1,000 yards receiving and 50 tackles. Collectively, our goal is to win another state championship". Wynn and company went 11-1 last season en route to a 38-0 victory over Hunterdon Central (NJ) in the state championship game.

Wynn currently holds no offers, but Rutgers as well as North Carolina, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Penn State and Temple have all taken notice. The football program, education, and relationship with the coaching staff are his 3 key factors in selecting a college.

This talented young man definitely seems to find Rutgers attractive. He mentioned, "I think it's a good school (Rutgers). I wouldn't mind staying close to home and around family. If they offered me a scholarship, I would take it."

His hobbies include listening to good music, going to the movies, and out to the park to participate in anything athletic. Jawaun currently participates in track and filed where he runs the 100m, 200m, and 400m hurdles. SOR will stay close to the situation.
