E.J. Scott Picks up yet another Offer

Jr. E.J. Scott of Our Lady Good Counsel H.S. (MD) is quickly becoming a household name and national prospect. The 5'11 171 lb. super-smooth receiver with a 3.14 GPA is in high demand. He is an unbelievable talent who has the ability to make huge plays after the catch. Just today, E.J. picked up a Pitt offer to go along with the additional 6 that he received previously.

We asked the 2nd Team All- WCAC selection about his abilities. He mentioned. "I am good at getting extra yards after the catch, I have great vision, and tremendous moves in the open-field. I enjoy making people miss. I have a strong work ethic and terrific coaches who help me along the way".

In 2008, E.J. Scott accounted for 18 catches, 475 receiving yards and 7 TD's. Defensively, he pitched in with 16 tackles at cornerback. His incredible skill set has earned him offers from Rutgers, Wake Forrest, Virginia, Iowa, Wisconsin, ECU and Pitt which just came today.

He stated, "I started out with a Rutgers offer on February 22nd and that was huge for me; then I got 2 more offers 2 days later; and I have received a total of 4 offers in the past week". It sounds like it is going to be a busy off-season for this young man. He currently has no favorites and would like to put all of his options on the table before making a collegiate decision.

Scott credits his success to his high school football program. "My school is a respectable, strong program for academics as well as football. We have sent a lot of kids to major universities for football. Also, my coach helps out a lot with the recruiting process which is a great thing. I am thankful for that", said E.J.

E.J. is currently working out with the track team to improve his speed. He currently sports a 4.41 40 and 4.12 shuttle. SOR will keep you posted as to his interaction with the Scarlet Knights.
