National Recruit has Rutgers Offer

Zach Zwinak is a powerful young athlete with the offers to show for it. He currently sits on 12 offers in which Rutgers is one of them. Standing at 6'2 225 pounds, Zach possesses the measurables as well as athletic ability that college coaches get excited about. He can play a multitude of different positions on the next level which also goes towards making him an attractive prospect.

SOR caught up with him to bring you the latest.

In regards to Rutgers, Zach Zwinak stated, "I like it up there. The coaches are really talented and I like how each year they get better and better". Although he currently reveals no favorites, it appears that Rutgers is at least in competition for the services of this athletic gentleman.

Zach led his team to a 13-1 record as well as received 1st Team All-State and multiple Player of the Year honors. In 2008, he carried the ball 133 times for 1,447 yards and 19 TD's. Defensively at linebacker, he accounted for 53 tackles, 11 for loss, 5 sacks, and 3 interceptions.

When asked about his style of play, Zwinak stated, "I am a true combination of size and speed. I have been told that I play powerfully". His powerful and explosive nature are backed by his 4.5 forty and 4.4 shuttle times. He claims a 330lb. bench press and 535 lb. squat.

Zwinak has received early offers from Rutgers, Boston College, California, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Virginia Tech , West Virginia and Kansas State. It appears that there may be a fight to the end for his services.

The personality of the coaching staff as well as early playing time are his main concerns in selecting a collegiate institution. He stated, "Wherever I end up, I just wanna get there and get a taste early on". We will keep you posted.
