Ibn Crenhaw is an Effective Cog

Patterson Catholic boasts a good amount of talent going into next season. We have already highlighted T.J Clemmings, Dwayne Bailey and Greg Moore. Next up is Ibn Crenshaaw; a grueling OG\DT for the talented North Jersey squad. Ibn stands at 6'2 265 pounds and has a mean streak. SOR caught up with him to discuss this upcoming season.

"Next season we are improving in order to win another Non– Public State Championship. We want to erase our 1 loss from last season and dominate. Personally, I want to earn a handful of FBS scholarship offers and excel on the next level as well", said Ibn Crenshaw.

When asked about his style of play, he stated, "I take charge on the football field and am a leader. I get very physical, play smash-mouth football and love to be on the attack". His affective style has earned Ibn attention from the Maryland Terrapins who have been sending a lot of mail.

Ibn's short-term goal is definitely to pick up his recruitment in the near future. His dream schools are Maryland, Miami, LSU and Rutgers.

In reference to RU specifically, he stated, "I think Rutgers is a good program. They had a tough start last year but bounced back during the second half of the season. They have yet to really recruit me, but I do like the school.

Ibn plans to take a trip to the Rutgers spring game later this month. In a week, he is to attend the Sports Weave Combine to improve his skill level and begin to put his name out there. Finally, he will round out the process by camping at Marylan University in June. SOR will keep you involved as to Rutgers' possible involvement.
