Catching Up With Tartacoff

Jr. J.T. Tartacoff's recruitment has begun to heat up. Although the Montgomery H.S.(NJ) product still only sits on a Rutgers offer, it appears that Pittsburgh, Maryland, Boston College and Virginia are close to offering. At the moment, J.T. seems to just be taking in all in before truly evaluating his collegiate options. SOR caught up with him after a recent Rutgers visit for the first scrimmage.

When asked about his thoughts of scrimmage, JT Tartacoff stated, "I enjoyed it. It was pretty intense and guys really got after it. It was a tough scrimmage and there were good parts as well as bad parts just like every other team scrimmaging at this point in the year".

He went on to mention, "I'm actually taking another trip up to Rutgers tomorrow. I can't wait to get up there. I like to try and learn as much as possible so it would be good if I can attend some team and position meetings… something like that. My goal is to learn as much as possible."

Rutgers isn't the only school getting a visit. J.T. is definitely looking around in order to make an informed decision. I plan on taking visits to Duke, Connecticut, and Pittsburgh just to see what they have to offer. When I make a decision, I wanna be sure because to commit means a lot".

In regards to Rutgers, he stated, "I like Rutgers. I spoke to coach Fraser, Susan, Ciarrocca, and Schiano. My mom really likes Coach Schiano. They had an opportunity to bond and found that they are similar people who come from a similar background represented by strong Italian family values".

JT is currently taking advantage of the off-season to get better. He is working out daily, doing a lot of speed training and working out with his QB on a consistent basis. SOR will keep you posted as to the development of his recruitment.
