Wynn Poised for Breakout Year

Jr. Blair Wynn is a relatively unknown, yet explosive running back and inside linebacker from St. Joes Montvale. He stands at 5'10 185 lbs., runs a 4.6 forty, 4.33 shuttle, possesses a 31-inch vertical and has great vision. Unfortunately in 2008, he had to wait his turn playing behind bruiser backs suck as Steve Beauharnais and Ryan Donohue on an 11-1 team.

Now he has the opportunity along with Kamal Hogan to become a terrific tandem.

"I am happy to have an opportunity to break out this year. I'm the type of player who gets better as the game goes along. I can't wait to take my first hit because I feel it determines how the game is going to go", said Blair Wynn.

Blair currently trains at Velocity where he does speed training. He also works out personally with Chuck Mound a on a weekly basis to be his best this upcoming season. He hopes to get the opportunity to truly display his skills by lining up in the slot as well as playing a little defensive back.

Rutgers, Temple, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati have shown interest in sending him letters although he has no offers. In regards to Rutgers, he mentioned, "I loved Rutgers since when I was growing up. Rutgers got my attention around the 7th grade. They truly became my favorite when they beat Louisville. That put the stamp on it".

Wynn is looking for solid academics, a good football program and a good location in a collegiate program. He currently participates in track where he runs an 11.5 100m.

He stated, "I run track to increase my speed for football and am doing whatever else I have to do to get better. Next year, I have a lot to prove and huge shoes to fill at the same time. Steve and Ryan were animals. Steve was aggressive, hard to stop and would take your head off. Ryan was athletic and a really smart player. I definitely plan to step it up and prove that I am a Division 1A talent the same as they are."

SOR will keep you advised.
