Skilled Receiver Makes Waves

Standing 6'1 180 lbs., Jr. Kai Dominguez of St. Joes Montvale is one of New Jersey's premier receivers. His fluidity and vast understanding of the position is mostly unmatched by many of his peers. In 2008, Kai stood out enough to make 1st Team All-Bergen County and 2nd Team All-State. Colleges have begun to pay attention and are on their way to requesting the services of this young standout

"I'm an aggressive receiver. I just go get the ball and make plays. I'm a playmaker. ", said Kai Dominguez. Kai definitely proved his ability to make plays at the Chuck Mound Challenge where he earned Wide Receiver MVP. "I was just able to show my skills and get it done", he mentioned.

Dominguez claims a 4.5 forty, 4.0 shuttle and a 35-inch vertical in which would explain his explosiveness and on-field ability. He has no offers but believes that North Carolina and Pittsburgh are close to offering.

"I am also being recruited by Rutgers, Virginia, Duke, Boston College, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Syracuse, Purdue and Connecticut."

As for RU, he stated, "They have a really nice campus and facilities. I'm not sure if I wanna stay so close to home though. I don't know yet though. I have been down there a couple times and want to attend the spring game with Kamal and Blair to take a look."In regards to the next level, he would like to go somewhere that has a comfortable environment, as well as friendly people and coaches.

Kai's goals for next season include a 1,000 receiving yards as well as 10 TDs. St. Joes isn't traditionally a passing team, but due to personnel issue, they have scrapped the Wing-T offense and have moved to more of a spread so Kai will have the opportunity to truly display his skill set. SOR will stay in touch.
