Recruiting Analysis: Jr. RG Martin Ojeda

Jr. Offensive lineman Martin Ojeda of Memorial H.S. (NJ) is a big boy. At 6'5 330 pounds, he still has the nimble feet to pull around the corner from his right guard position and get out in front of guys, creating huge lanes for his running backs. Martin is currently still learning the game but once he gets over the mental hurdle, Ojeda could be an unstoppable force at guard on the next level.

Martin Ojeda is definitely staking his claim to becoming a Division 1A player. I have spoken to him and can vouch for him being a good kid just looking for an opportunity to play somewhere.

He possesses many of the qualities you look for in a guard... massive, powerful, has good feet, gets off the ball well, and plays to the whistle.

Martin could improve upon his conditioning, playing a little lower, using his hands better and maintaining his leg drive in certain situations, but these are all things that can be fixed in your first couple years as a collegiate lineman.

I believe that any program willing to take a chance on him would be vastly rewarded by his Redshirt Sophomore year. Take a look at the film below and discuss in the message boards whether you agree or not.
