Corey Reeder Is Electrifying

The 6'2 185 lb. fluid WR from Pemberton Township H.S.(NJ) can play the game. He has a high level of fluidity and overall athletic ability. Recruiting appears to be heating up as he has received an offer form Iowa as well as heavy attention from Maryland, Michigan, Temple and Duke. SOR caught up with this young man for a chat.

When asked about his style of play, he mentioned, "The unique thing about me is that I sprint off the line every play and am not afraid to block. I run really good routes and stay aggressive. I like running the fade because I always catch corners playing the slant because I give them a hard inside move and then beat them strait up the sideline with the fade", said Corey Reeder.

In 2008, The 2nd Team All- Conference selection garnered 502 receiving yards on 28 catches and 7 TD's. His efforts have earned him the distinction of being one of the best upcoming receivers in the state.

The standout also participates in organized basketball and track as well where he runs the 100m and the 200m. Corey claims a 4.5 forty. He plans to attend the Big Time Showcase where he will be matched against the best players in the region.

According to Corey, Rutgers has yet to take notice. He mentioned, "I haven't received anything from Rutgers. They are a good team and are really coming together though. I think next year they will pick it up."

When asked what his response would be to a Rutgers interest, he stated, "Oh yea… I would definitely consider them. It would be an honor because they are a great school but since Iowa along with other schools are showing me more interest, I would have to say that I like Iowa at this point.

Corey's goals for the upcoming season are to produce at least 10 receiving TD's and lead his previously 3-7 football squad to a playoff birth. We shall wait and see the results of his efforts. Stay tuned.
