Catching up with Eric Williams

This athletic 6'3 195 lb. wide receiver still has yet to obtain an offer, although he is working overtime to show the world his talents. After standing out at the Badger Sports 7-on-7 and submitting a pretty impressive highlight tape which showcases his versatility, Eric Williams is on a mission to embed an image of himself in the brains of most recruiting coordinators around the country.

SOR caught up with Eric for a quick conversation.

"I still don't have any offers yet but I have been receiving a lot of attention recently from Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Virginia, UConn, Temple, Michigan, Michigan St., Notre Dame, Purdue and Stanford", stated Eric Williams. According to Eric many of these schools seem close to offering although no one has officially pulled the trigger. I think it is safe to say that so far, he has been under-recruited.

As for his favorites, Eric mentioned, "I like Virginia, Notre Dame, Michigan and Rutgers the most at the moment and hope to learn a lot more about these schools in the near future."

Academics, graduation percentage, and opportunity for early playing time are important to Eric in making a decision. Eric has the desire to play within a pro-style offense in which would be a vast change from the run- oriented offense he is currently involved in at Pennsbury High School.

"I think the pro-style offense fits me better. I have good size and speed and am best at running routes, catching tough balls, being competitive, and grabbing passes at their highest point", he mentioned.

Eric is currently running track to stay in good football shape. He participates in the 100m where he runs an 11.3 and the 200 where he runs a 23.3. He has also timed as high as a 4.48 forty.

He plans to display his dexterity at the combine in Baltimore this Sunday as well as the Big Time Showcase in which he recently received an invite to. "I just plan to keep attending events, continue to stand out and attain as many offers as I can". SOR will be there to bring you the action.
