Another Bergen Catholic Sophomore on the Rise

Cameron Dickerson is already the size of an exceptional high school senior WR/S. At 6'3 200 lbs. he has the tangibles to become a high level FBS recruit. As a sophomore, he played in just about every Bergen Catholic varsity encounter and was able to excel in most game situations. SOR caught up with Cameron in an attempt to learn a little more about him.

"On offense, I am a big target and more of a throw it up and ill go get it type. I love running good routes and catching the ball, especially on screen plays. Defensively, ill hit you, but am even better at attacking the football. If it hangs up in the air, ill take it out of there. The great thing about playing safety is that you get to watch the plays develop, see things happen and react. I‘m good at picking off slants as well.", said Cameron Dickerson.

He continued, "I would have liked to have had an even bigger role as a sophomore, but understand that there were older guys entitled to a bit more of the action. I can't wait for next season to contribute more, become a starter on both sides of the ball and aim towards an All-Bergen County bid."

Cameron also plays basketball where he lettered and provided a huge contribution on the hardwood. He stated, "I enjoy playing basketball as well because it keeps me in shape and I like helping out the team".

Cameron has gained the early attention of Rutgers, Notre Dame, and Boston College who have all written him and invited him to camp. As for RU, he mentioned, "I like Rutgers. At the end of the day, I will accept my best offer. Honestly, I would probably want to go to school farther from home, but you never know what the future will bring."

Cameron plans to attend the Big Time Showcase where he will show that he is one of the better up-and –comers in the region. SOR will keep you posted as to the development of his recruitment.
