Recruiting Analysis: Mitch DeVall

If a college program is looking for a prospect who can stuff the run and make plays in the tackle box, Mitch DeVall might fit their needs. At 6'1" 321lbs, DeVall is a tough assignment for most offensive guards due to his low center of gravity and strength.

Between the guards, Mitch DeVall is a simply rock. He is blessed with a low center of gravity and a strong first step. His hands remain in the interior framework of the offensive linemen's body as he maintains his course into the backfield.

He displays the ability to make plays down the line of scrimmage. For those plays where he does not make the play, his penetration into the backfield causes disruption to the offense and allows the remaining defenders to locate the ball carrier.

Take a look at his highlights.
