Martize Sets the "Barr" High

This year Calvin Coolidge High has a large contingent of upcoming seniors who are legitimate Division 1 prospects. Regarded as the top Wide Receiver in the DC Metro area Martize Barr certainly fits into that category. Standing at 6-0 1/2 , 190 pounds, Barr has recently been clocked at 4.5 in the 40 yard dash and is currently running Outdoor Track to get that time down.

His skills have attracted the attention of college staffs with many making trips to Coolidge to communicate with him: "A lot of schools have come by so far including Maryland, Penn St., Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. I also think I am close to getting my first offer from Kansas." Rutgers has noticed this promising playmaker: "I have talked to Rutgers, they seem to have some interest and they are currently waiting to review my tape. If they offered I would definitely consider them."

This summer, Martize Barr will continue to work on his game with plans to camp at Pitt, and at other schools who continue to show him interest. Martize prefers to continue to play Wide Receiver on the next level and judging from his film on, that won't be an issue with recruiters. Barr runs crisp, fluid routes, attacks the ball in the air, and has dazzling moves at Kick Returner. Martize's film and recent performances at combines certainly cement his reputation as a deadly playmaker, which should continue to draw interest from college programs as we continue in this recruiting cycle. We will continue to update you as Martize continues his recruiting process.
