Big Time Showcase MVP "Built Ford Tough"

Josh Ford out of Calvin Coolidge High School in Washington DC is a prospect that has been turning a lot of heads as of late. Checking in at 6-3 195, and running a 4.4 laser timed 40 yard dash, Ford has all the physical tools that a Wide Receiver needs on the next level.

"So far I have been receiving interest from Pitt, Maryland, Kansas and Michigan St, they have all come by my school to evaluate me."

Although Joshua Ford does not have any offers at this point, that will soon change as this kid continues to wreak havoc on Defensive Backs on the combine circuit. "Right now I am trying to generate as much interest as possible and keep my options open. I really just want a place where I can play; I will consider anyone that offers me, although I am attracted to offenses that like to pass the ball." While Rutgers has not yet been in contact with this DC Man-Child, Josh is considering attending Rutgers Football Camp, in addition to attending camps at UNC, Michigan St, and Virginia Tech.

Ford is widely regarded at the #2 Wide Receiver in DC behind teammate Martize Barr, after racking up 8 touchdowns his Junior Year on 950 yards receiving and 355 yards rushing. The thing that makes those numbers even more impressive is the fact that this was Josh's first year playing high school football. Despite his inexperience, Josh excelled last year as evidenced by his tape on Scout.com. Showing impressive strength and ball skills, Ford is tough to bring down, and is an athletic mismatch for his opposition. He seems to play way above his experience level, and helped Coolidge High go 9-3 reaching deep into the playoffs eventually losing to Ricardo Young's HW Woodson squad. Ford will be one of the premiere prospects in the DC Metro area this upcoming season, we will keep you posted on how Ford's recruitment develops.
