Haplea Making his Rounds

Kevin Haplea has obviously emerged as one of the top recruits in the Northeast region. His ability to truly block as well as pass- catch has truly spring boarded him into rare air in regards to number of offers. Kevin appears to be enjoying the process and just making his rounds. We spoke briefly last night about his recruitment.

"I'm doing real good right now. I am up to 21 offers with my latest being from South Carolina, LSU and Wisconsin. I will hopefully get my written offer from Florida tomorrow when I visit with them."

He continued, "They are all pretty cool schools. In fact, all of them are pretty nice."

Haplea is going through a strong evaluation period before attempting to cut down his rather long offer list. He intends to visit many schools in order to get up close and personal to see first-hand what the schools have to offer.

"I visited Miami today and am hitting Florida and Florida St. tomorrow, then Clemson and North Carolina later in the week. It should be a good time." said Kevin Haplea.

Rutgers appears to still be hanging in there though; he mentioned, "I definitely plan to take an official visit to Rutgers although I won't be attending any camps to any schools… Just visits. Visits allow for me to get to see a lot of the schools that are looking at me."

Rutgers is enduring stiff competition in regards to the recruitment of Haplea. SOR will keep you posted as to the development of Kevin's collegiate destination selection continues.
