Sacco Scores Rutgers Offer

Standing 6'2 250lbs., Brandon Sacco of Don Bosco (NJ) is one of the most technical offensive lineman we have seen this recruiting season. He projects as a center on the next level and brings all of the tangible skills you look for in the leader of your offensive line. Sacco was almost flawless throughout the day showing that being technically sound can beat out size and strength any day.

Brandon's great ability earned him a scholarship offer from the Scarlet Knights.

"Yes they offered me. I had spoken to both Coach Flood and Schiano on the phone so I had a feeling they would offer me. They had also talked to my coach so it looked pretty good. Coach just brought me up to his office and I got an offer. I was thrilled it happened. I have been waiting for so long to get an offer from a Jersey school. I'm excited to see what will happen in the future." said Brandon Sacco.

Sacco has also been offered by Vanderbilt, Akron, Virginia, Miami of Ohio and Pittsburgh. He currently claims no favorites.

As for his feelings about the event, he stated, "It was a good time. It went by pretty fast. It was nice because the camp was more personal and invite-only. It was different than all of the other camps I have been to. The way it was set up, helped me to get a better feel for Rutgers."

In regards to how he thinks he did as well as how he feels about the staff, he responded," I think I did pretty well. I had a bit of an advantage because I receive really good coaching and we have a similar blocking system as what Rutgers does. It was cool to see the other top players in New Jersey. It was also cool to be so close to the coaching staff. I really like them. They are all very personable, and a bunch of good guys. I can see myself playing for them." SOR will keep you posted as to the progression of the situation.
