Wynn Lands Rutgers Offer at Camp

Jawaun Wynn is a talented under- the- radar athlete who is beginning to be courted by many of the schools who recruit the Northeast region. At 6'3 190lbs, his range and athletic ability make him a standout prospect at either the safety or wide receiver positions. Jawaun showed up to Rutgers camp this morning and walked away with an offer.

"I had seen coach Schiano during spring practice. He liked my size and had heard some good things about me. I was told to come up to Rutgers camp so they can see what I can do. I finally came down this morning and ran the forty (4.48), did position drills, and participated in 1-on-1's. I did real well. Coach (Schiano) invited me up to his office where he offered me right there." said Jawaun Wynn.

He continued, "I feel real good about it. This definitely makes them (RU) higher on my list. I love it because it's my home school and I know a lot about them. I just have to talk it over with my parents and go from there. I do know that it's a good program, I like the family attitude as well as the academics and I feel they will have a lot of success in the years to come."

Wynn has recently picked up offers from Boston College, Temple and UCONN as well. He stated, "I feel good about all the schools recruiting me. I'm sure Temple is nice although they arent on my top list yet because I dont know much about them. At UCONN, they are trying to get on their feet so I can help them right away. BC is a big-time academic school so that is definitely a plus with my parents." Jawaun currently carries a 3.5 GPA.

As for how he feels about Coach Schiano and Susan who recruited him, he stated, "They are both real good, down to earth guys. They are good to talk to about any life situation. We connect real well."

As for a closing statement and maybe a possible hint towards his future plans, Jawaun added, "there is no place like home". SOR will keep you posted.
