The Newest Rutgers Class - Part II (Offense)

"One of the most anticipated players in a number of years, Ron Green is a former JUCO all-american that should immediately compete for a starting position and clear room for the RBs."

Offensive line was one of the biggest need areas on the team. It was important for Rutgers to add more talent to the position.

Pedro Sosa seems to have the most talent in the group of three players. He is blessed with good speed, long arms, and balance. His best football is ahead of him and he has the ability to be a solid contributor.

Clint Dato is a junior college transfer, who enrolled in January. He should immediately compete for the RT position, while adding even more size to the group.

Talk about adding size, Mike Fladell is probably the biggest player ever to come to the banks. Fladell is raw but has the tools (size, long arms, and feet) to be a contributor by his sophomore year.

With the loss of Ryan Cubit, Rutgers needed to add another QB to the roster.

With the OL having difficulties, a mobile QB should help in the Knights growing pains. Shawell suffered a knee injury in his junior year but he seems to have fully recovered with over 1500 yards passing in his senior year.

The change in offensive philosophy calls for a power running game. Therefore, the commitments of two big backs are timely.

Justise Hairston is a big back with 4.4 speed in the forty, who has the ability to run over you or around you. He could have a big impact on the offense.

Jamar Brittingham is a big back with good vision and the ability to run well between the tackles.

The loss of L.J. Smith leaves a hole at the TE position.

Brad Listori and Sam Johnson are athletic TEs, who give the QBs and the offense with more options in the passing game. Listori was clocked at 4.5 in the forty and plans to play more of an H-Back position to utilize his speed.

This group could be the most talented group.

Marcus Daniels was named first-team All-Dade county. He is a big WR with the ability to stretch the defense with his speed.

Willie Foster is a teammate of Daniels and another WR with speed.

At 6'6"-200lbs, Donnie Diaz is a big, really big , WR with 4.4 speed and has the potential of being an impact player.

Orlando Kane is an exciting player, who has the ability to score every time he touches the ball. He has been compared to Santana Moss.
