Rutgers: BC, Bell ring in a big week
It's just what Rutgers doesn't need as the Knights embark on a three-game homestand that could make or break their season: A visit by one of the Big East's hottest teams, led by one of the country's hottest players. But then, no one said that digging out of the hole in which Rutgers has buried itself would be easy.
PISCATAWAY - Enough already, Gary Waters said. This, he explained, is getting way out of hand."We're over-exaggerating about all this losing," the Rutgers' coach said, putting the stress on the "all." "We're 1-6 in the Big East, and we probably could've won three. So what does that make us - two games off?"

It's the middle of the Big East schedule, but postseason play, in a way, begins today for the Rutgers men's basketball team. The Scarlet Knights open a pivotal three-game homestand at noon against Boston College, the first of three opponents Rutgers will play during an eight-day stretch.
