Marquise Webb

Marquise Webb, 6-4, 185, SG, Patterson Catholic

From Paterson Catholic game with Oak Hill Academy

Webb's 6-4 listing is legit. He is a big kid who is physically well developed for his age. He could easily grow into a swing man.  When moving with the ball in the open court he has a smooth, flowing style. Despite his size he can surprise you with bursts of quickness both on offense and defense. He has a strong upper body which helped him dish accurate passes inside to Darryl Watkins. Even though his "j" wasn't falling, Webb has good form on his jumper. He is straight up and down with a nice arc on the shot.

I thought that Marquise's defense could have been stronger. When I saw him on "D" he reminded me a little of Herve Lamizana as a first year player. He sometimes seemed a little out of place on the court. He has the strength to be a stronger passer than he is showing. His passes are smart but soft. He needs to gets some muscle behind his passes.

Webb was an early Rutgers signee. Marquise had offers from Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Temple, Villanova, Syracuse and others.
Last year he had 25 ppg and five rebounds and four assists.
