Borcich Down to Two

Bronxville (N.Y.) High defensive lineman Kieran Borcich made an unofficial visit to Rutgers on Saturday, and afterward said his list of college choices was narrowed to two schools. So, what did he see at Rutgers? And what transpired? Also, who are his two finalists? Borcich provides those answers in this update on his recruitment.

Following a Saturday unofficial visit to Rutgers to meet with the coaching staff and check out the Scarlet Knights first scrimmage of the spring, Bronxville (N.Y.) High defensive end Kieran Borcich came away with a neatly trimmed list.

While on his way home, Borcich said his list was down to two schools.

"It's between Boston College and Rutgers,'' Borcich said. "It's between those two schools right now, and that's pretty much all I have to say.''

Borcich holds offers double digit offers and spent the last few months visiting schools.

This was his second trip to Rutgers in less than two months, so he is familiar with the facilities, the program, the coaching staff and the players.

"The trip was great,'' Borcich said. "I got to watch the scrimmage. I got to hang out with some of the guys, had a nice talk with coach (Greg) Schiano, but other than that, that's pretty much all that happened.''

Borcich, a 6-foot-3, 265-pounder who can play either defensive end or defensive tackle, said he learned more about the program by experiencing close to game-type preparation since the scrimmage was held in Rutgers Stadium.

"It was a great day,'' Borcich said. "It gave me great insight into what the program really is, which I knew from the beginning was a great program.''

Borcich did not give a time frame for making an announcement on his decision, but it is expected to take place shortly.
