PISCATAWAY -- Tell shooting guard Jerome Coleman there will be no postseason for him or the rest of the Rutgers men's basketball team, and he'll say that's completely wrong. "Our tournament starts (today)," he said, referring to a 4 p.m. showdown with ninth-ranked Notre Dame. "If you lose this game, it's basically over. If you win this game, then you've still got life."

Women's Basketball

Rutgers women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer was watching tape of Georgetown last weekend, preparing for a game the next day, and she lost track of the time. When she finally looked at the clock in her hotel room, it was 2:30 a.m. "I kept rewinding the same plays over and over again," she recalled. "Then I finally thought, `Why am I doing this? Why am I staying up this late? I already know what's going on and they're going to do what they're going to do anyway, so I'll be better off rested.'‚"
