Well, since the announcement of the list, Waisome picked up an offer from Rutgers, which sent it earlier this month.
"I'm glad I got an offer so I can learn more about the school,'' the 5-foot-10, 175-pound Waisome said. "I know a little about them. They've got great receivers up there and a lot of guys in the (NFL).''
He is being recruited by Scarlet Knights secondary coach Ed Pinkham, who had tremendous success in central Florida in the 2010 class. But whether Rutgers can seriously enter the mix remains uncertain.
"That was my top seven,'' Waisome said. "But I put it out that it could change in the next couple of months.''
Waisome is considered one of the top man-ton-man cover players in the nation, and his junior statistics suggest it. He made 67 tackles, intercepted four passes and broke up 18 passes.
Waisome doubled as a receiver, and averaged a staggering 29.1 yards per catch. He made 17 receptions for 495 yards and six touchdowns.
But does Rutgers have a chance with Waisome?
"I have the offer, but I may just move on,'' he said. "I'm not sure yet."
